My 8th grader son is now taking Honors Algebra II. Can he take SAT Math I test after he finishes 8th grade?

I mean, SAT Math I includes all those Math that my son has already studied (Algebra I and II and Geometry), right? Can he take the test right after 8th grade or should he wait till later in HS?
