problem with high school love

i can tell you i came to a new school i fell for a guy we became good friends but later we had i minor quarrel and now its being months since we last talked and worse we sit besides each other and i cannot stop staring at him but always feel disgusted and their are two girls who like him and anytime we want to reconcile they prevent us help i need advice am so lost reconcile or forget him which will be hard.
