Should students be allowed to use laptops in college classrooms?
Despite the fact that I am in the academic honors program of my college, I am prohibited from using a laptop in 5 of my 6 classes.(which includes both honors and standard classes).
Re: Should students be allowed to use laptops in college classrooms?
It depends on the previous record of students using laptops in class, and it also depends on the course, personal record of using laptops on campus, etc.
Laptop is very helpful for academic students, and it also depends on the course, its helps to writing and reading without any books, also get more learning about computer. It might be prohibited some school reason for miss using laptop for some other thing.
For me, laptop is really a big help for a college student. It will help you organized on everything. So it is really a must but to be sure better inquire first.
At my university, some professors don't care, and others have a strict no-laptop policy. You'll never be criticized for taking notes with pen and paper.
Talk to your teacher as a suggestion.
