Is a 1790 a good SAT score?

I want to enter college as a biology student and then continue medicine...Do they take my sat score in med school into consideration. Plus, is my score good? I got 640 on essay, 670 on math, and 480 crtical reading.....When they say that they take the highest scores, does this mean, the highest in math,highest in critical and highest in writing and then add them up, or they take the whole highest sat score...Thank u
but it is a good sat scores....Once u want to enter med school, do they look at ur sat scores or they simply see the GPA and the Mcat results?

omg i want to do medicine too omg we cud be sisters.
they take your maths and english and see if its high enough or on the right ranking but remember even some people who do well dont get into med school.
